Skip to page 7 here to see how I finally ended up setting the belts, and what parts were needed to make the Dayton 3z981 bandsaw work.

****EDIT****
I've been looking for bandsaw that can cut metal. This one looks nice and I might go have a look at it on friday. Before I do though I wanted to know if anyone knows anything about it or has any kind of advice? Is it any good for cutting metal?
From what I can tell it is a 4 speed with 175 FPM as the lowest and 3000 FPM as the highest.
I know for metal cutting you want 80-200 FPM so this one should be ok?
Anything I'm missing?
Is $200 a good price? I was thinking of offering 150 since 200 is a bit out of my price range.
And, I also know its been discontinued so do you think parts will be difficult to get for it in the future?
